Internet Directory
The Microsoft Internet Directory helps you locate people connected to the Internet.

Call someone
After you have NetMeeting up and running, the next step is to call someone. NetMeeting makes it easy—in fact, calling people over the Internet with NetMeeting is as easy as placing a phone call.

Finding Other NetMeeting Users to Call (The Microsoft Internet Directory)
The key to finding other people using NetMeeting on the Internet is the Microsoft Internet Directory, which includes the Internet Locator Server (ILS). Using the Microsoft Internet Directory, you can easily find other NetMeeting users.

To find an address using directories or address books:
  • Click the Find Someone in a Directory button.
  • In the Select a directory field, select Microsoft Internet Directory.
  • In the Search window that appears, type as much about the person you want to call as you know (i.e., name, e-mail address, location, comments, etc.)
  • Click Submit.
  • Look for the name you want in the resulting list.
